Leather strop treatment with ForceField Leather Cleaner & Conditioner?

So I found two 4-oz bottles of this stuff tucked away and forgotten for what I believe must be around 10 years. It's unopened and still has the tin seal intact. There isn't a list of ingredients on the bottle though nor is there an expiration date.

Front of the bottle reads:

Forcefield Leather Cleaner & Conditioner

Cleans, Conditions & protects fine leather and furniture.

Side of bottle reads:

• Accessories

Back of bottle reads:

A technically advanced formula that cleans, conditions, and protects finished leathers. Make with the finest oils. Regular use keeps your leather looking and feeling its best. Skipped directions. Recommended for use on all natural-finished leather products. Not recommended for suede or nubuck.

Should I just get Neatsfoot oil to be on the safe side or is this good enough?

Why are you wanting to oil your strop in the first place? TBO a strop rarely needs any oiling unless the thing spent thrown under the house during the summer in Arizona. For a strop in good condition rubbing you hand over the leather a several times before each stropping should be more than enough to keep it conditioned.

But, if you need to oil it any good oil made specifically for leather should be good, although I have read petroleum based oils are not "the best" for leather.

I don't plan to treat my strop right now. I was just wondering if this is a product I could use down the road should the need arise.

I only use neatsfoot oil if the strop is badly cut. I'm still a clumsy stropper after three years and one bad strop job can mess it up.
