When my dad & his brothers would get together, they would all be talking at once about 3 or 4 totally different things.
Anyone else have experience with nonversations?

Experienced it today. I was in a Zoom meeting and my softphone rand. When I answered it I was hearing the person on the other end of the line and the people in the zoom meeting. That was a nonversation!

It happens with my wife and daughters. they tend to all talk at once and topic changes can be abrupt and frequent. I liken it to watching how a flock of birds are all flying one direction and then suddenly shift directions at the same time. I prefer to just sit there and listen. What's the old rhyme? A wise old bird sat in an oak, the more he heard the less he spoke. The less he spoke, the more he heard. Now wasn't he a wise old bird?

I have 3 sisters, which I think is the perfect arrangement for all of them. There's always one sister to talk to, and one to talk about.
