What's new

LEA stick!

So i picked this up from the Post office earlier, courtesy of Gifts&Care (Great B&B Vendor, support them!) Its the new formula, so I'm excited to try it, but the smell was a little of a let down. I think I hyped myself up about it being re-formulated that I expected it to smell like the nectar of the Gods. However, it just smells like soap. Nothing more, nothing less, just soap.:001_unsur

Anyone else tried this new one and let down by the lack of aroma??

PS. the stick looks huge, but I think it's because I admittedly have small hands.

I got my stick a few days ago and used it three times so far. Love it! I like the scent but admit it isn't the strongest, or all that unique.

I got mine from G&C also, and plan on picking up more.

I expected the boring scent, so no letdown for me. I was blown away by the lather...great stick.

I love the new formula,la toja is my fav but for me lea is a close second, the scent is ok though nothing special.

when you say la toja, do you mean the cream? idk if there is any other form. i just got a tube of cream today. i have not tried it yet, but im not too fond of the scent....at all.:crying: i hope it performs better than it smells.

I honestly have some mixed feelings on this soap. The lather is great, stable and super moisturizing. But the scent is too "artificial" for me and the slickness is not exactly what I expected it to be. La Toja is still my #1 shave stick. :thumbup1:

I got this stick recently. I find the lather amazing, I quite like neutral scents with soap so I find this one fine.

La Toja exists in stick form as well, and it is very highly regarded. You should absolutely try one.

As much as I love La Toja stick, and despite the scent of the new LEA, I do give the performance edge to the LEA. That said, I have just received a Vintage La Toja stick from my very good friend, Luis, today. I'm holding off its usage until next Monday for the new SOTD theme, but a like for like tallow comparison will be very interesting.

Thanks guys, I guess its a total YMMV thing on this one. I am becoming fond of the scent, but I just wish there was a little more to it.
