Le Labo Perfume Oil

I have a question for the higher ups. Le Labo has now started to offer perfume oils. They currently offer their whole range minus the alcohol. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to this? I was wanting to pick up Santal 33, and now not sure if i should go oil vs alcohol.

Interesting question, Isaac. I hope someone who has experienced both the oil version and the alcohol version will shed some light for us. They're in "botanical safflower oil"? I'm curious if they smell different in any way, or have more or less longevity and projection.

I haven't tried the new Le Labo oils yet but I have tried Malle's Musc Ravageur in both the EdP and the huile a tout faire. In this case, the oil carried less of the top notes and actually lacked the longevity of the EdP but it did have a richer, more enjoyable accord of the base notes. The oils are often used in ways other than just body scent, such as adding to a bath, or mixing with unscented massage oils, etc. Le Labo's oils may be very different, though, from my experience with Malle.
