Lavender Soap Suggestions?

I have never tried a lavender scented shaving soap, and was thinking of adding to my SSAD. Any suggestions for my first lavender soap? I'm listing them in the order I am leaning (you will notice that tallow soaps are all listed first). I am primarily interested in performance, but scent is also important. The problem I have had with some lavender products in the past is that they have a medicinal quality to them. Vote!

Try Saint Charles Shave. Excellent scent, excellent soap and, comparatively, budget friendly.

The Harris is a good choice but these days my favorite lavender soap is Truefitt & Hill Luxury Shaving Soap. The lavender scent is somewhat light but the performance is first class. Also if you want to save a few bucks try the Vintage Blades house brand soap. It is the same product at a much better price point. There is nothing medicinal about this soap.

T&H is pretty good, and the scent is very subtle. Really wanted to try the Ox & Camb for a while now...

Don't care for the D.R. Harris, tho. Performs nicely, but not a fan of the scent.

Haven't used Harris's lavender so I can't comment on the smell. However. C&S's Oxford & Cambridge is tallow-based & great stuff. On the much more reasonable end of the $$ spectrum, TGQ's Savon de Campagne (it's not on your list, but it's lavender w/added citrus ) is absolutely wonderful stuff (as are all her soaps) & performs beautifully.

Agree with this. My favorite soap I've tried so far.

However, Colleen's Provence Lavender is also a great, great scent and a wonderful soap, too. I voted for this in the poll.

I've only tried TOBS and like it. Underrated IMO.

AoS if only for the lather. It is subtly scented (to my nose), but boy does it deliver a quality shave.

Voted for SCS Lavender but I'm thinking of her Bulgarian line specifically...stuff is AMAZING!

Go with Harris. Its not that expensive for a high end soap and it is easy to lather. The lavender scent is a bit special though. Its smell very sweet compared to other lavender product I have used but I think its what makes it different and interesting.
