Lather Help!

Guys....
In short, I make horrible lather! It always becomes wither too thick or too watery where it dries on my face with in a minute. What can I do to improve it?

BTW... I am using the PROSARO (green and white) cream... I hear it a darn good cream, so its gotta be my screw up....

Hi,

I'll throw out one basic suggestion to tide you over till the more experienced folks weigh in; watch some YouTube videos on lathering. It might seem a little strange to watch lathering videos but it would take pages of text to convey the same amount of information as a short video.

It's a simple formula of cream, water, air and whipping, but there's a lot of small tweaks you can make and refine as you learn and there's also the possibility of small differences in your 'formula' giving you different results eg. water hardness.

Don't consider it a screw up, consider it the normal process of acquiring a new skill.

For what it's worth my own lather is not pic worthy, but if it provides a slick layer to give a good shave without irritation, good enough for me.

Might get more feedback if this was in the soap section I think.

In the meantime;

Put almond size snurdle of cream in bottom of bowl.
Soak brush well, squeeze or flick out excess water.
Run hot water tap so it drizzles.
Start to whip lather up - add a drop or two of water to the brush tips every so often.
Just a few drops of water at a time- not more than that.Shouldn't need to add a whole lot of water really, add it slowly.
Use wrist motion to get the bristles to work for you.
Soon - you will see the lather puffing up. Maybe add another drop of water, or not - depends on how it's sizing up.
Work it till its slick and creamy.
Shave.
