Lather Combo? anybody do this?

So, I usually use just CO Bigelow. I love the stuff. its super cold after; does a wondrous job of lubrication and all that, but every now and then, i get a weak lather. sometimes not enough CO, sometimes not enough water. whatever the case.

So one day i saw my old Jagger soap, and mixed the two.

HOLY CRAP! probably the best thing I have ever done. It sticks to your neck like no other; easy smooth shave. like perfect mix. I know usually people look for the ONE. but this combo is amazing.

Anyone do this? lol

I just have one puck of soap (fighting back several ADs until after new years) and once I get some more I will defiantly give this a try!

in addition try adding in a touch of glycerin on top. It'll rock your world.

I will definitely try the glycerin! this combo is amazin. lol. I sometimes use sunflower oil before on a thick beard; and im definitely gonna add this on top. see how it works out

A super lather with Arko and Kirk's Castille soap works well for me.

i have Shave Secret (from wally world), sucks as a pre-shave oil or anything else, but add bout 7-10 drops to your Bigelow cream and BOOM slick, creamy lather.

I've got about a month under my belt DE shaving and only have two creams: TOBS Sandalwood and Olivia's King Kong. Tobs lathers so much better and Olivia's smells wonderful; it was only a matter of time before I mixed them for a wonderful result...

lowcountry, isnt it amazing? lol. and dude, DE shaving is the best thing i've ever done, I use a fatboy; and i have yet done anything else. Racer and rapira for fast sharpness, and astras for a long lasting blade!..least from my experience. I need to get some feather blades though.

Superlathering uses so little of each product (especially AoS Sandalwood soap and cream) that it becomes harder to justify new purchases...not that that has ever stopped me

Lol. I don't use little product. For my combo I usually wet the brush the get a lot of soap in then a little less then an almond sized drop of bigelow and wham pow! Amazing shave. It helps because I usually shave with my fatboy at the highest setting and its just so creamy this way
