Lather-catcher question

Recently got these two lather-catchers, and I have a question about the blades with them. These are the old non-throw-away blades that are like a piece of a straight razor. I'm wondering if someone can tell me if they'd be safe to use or if they would need to be honed, stropped, etc. by someone who knew what they were doing first. Please either post here or PM me if you know. Thanks!

You'll definitely need to have the wedge blades stropped and honed STRONED. They are nowhere in any shaving condition at their age.

BTW, Awesome sets!

Thanks. Any suggestion on how to do it or who to send them to in order to get it done right? Thanks

I know nothing about stropping or honing which is fine with me as it's one less acquisition disorder I have.. but many of the gents here do know how and some will do it for you. Give them time to come along and find this thread. I'm sure someone will guide you or do it for you.

Thanks, I appreciate it, I'll contact him. Have you had experience with these type of blades or has he just sharpened your straights? Thanks. I appreciate any additional feedback anyone has on these, I've shaved with my lather-catchers with SE blades, but no experience with these. If any of you have shaved with these type of blades, I'd appreciate hearing your feedback.
