Hello guys, i am using the edwin jagger sea buckthorn... and last time that i lather my face I took too much time removing the whiskers very very slow to feel the new razor, and it started burning my mouth... i have experienced that when i used to buy brazilians gilette shaving cream, now i 'm think that if burned my mouth it cannot be good to my skin..

have any of you guys ever experienced that?

give your thoughts...

regards.

i have used some that irritated my skin before but nothing that i would say burned badly. some redness and irritation though. rare for me but has happened

Yes. Numerous products have done this and don't think because you switch to something unscented or light scented it won't do that. Your skin may be allergic to it. Before the next shave lather a bit up and put some on your arm and leave it there for five or ten minutes. If nothing continue for twenty. At this point it should be somewhat obvious if your allergic to it.

You'll need to experiment and see what your skin can adjust to and what it can't.

There's clearly something in the product that is bothering you. Try a skin patch test on your arms or another area. Apply the lather, wait a bit and see if it causes irritation there. Of course wash it off thoroughly, afterwards.

If you have no issues with it try it again on the face. If you get irritation from shaving with that cream it could be your technique as well or both. Don't worry though if you don't get along with a product - plenty more to try and the Buy/Sell/Trade boards here are very good and very active. You won't be out of pocket - someone will take it off your hands.
