Lather bowl. please help!

Hi folks
I ordered a "geo bowl" a while back because when i saw it on the website it looked nice and big but when i recieved it i was very disappointed because it's way too small(and I mean really really tiny) I have a medium size brush and it covers the whole surface of the bowl so i can't really whip a good lather. However I love the looks of it.

It has a lip around the bowl, and it has a stand on the bottom to make it easier to hold.

My question to you fine gentlemen is this:
Anyone knows of a bowl in a similar design where it would have a stand on the bottom and is made of pottery/stoneware/ceramic material? perhaps at a market like walmart, target etc... ( i know i can have it made by a potter, but i wish not to do that, i already own a scuttle) here is the shape i'm looking for:

Thanks for the reply. However I don't like the stainless steel ones, and the one you mentioned doesn't have a stand to hold it in your hand. What i'm looking for is basically just a bowl with a little stand on the bottom to hold it. nothing fancy, nothing out of this world :)

I have been looking around for a similar bowl, I am a sucker for pottery. I have been looking at the farmers markets and craft fairs. If nothing else have one make locally. Good Luck and if you find one post it or pm me.

If you must use a bowl, you can use a cereal bowl, a marble pesto bowl (these look nice).

Nothing beats face lathering though once you get the hang of it. No need for bowls no more. YMMV

Face lathering gives me irritation.

I might have to check out poundland then to see what they've got. I currently use a glass teacup. It works ok but I need something a little wider / deeper to really get into it without plastering the walls with foam!

That's weird the "GEO bowl" always appeared to be bigger than that in his videos, in ur pic it looks tee tiny!!!

Have a look in charity shops, it's always interesting to see, and I often see those enormous novelty branded mugs in them (and often more interesting items, too!), and also Wilkos (Wilkinsons) if you have a branch close, they have loads of cheap mugs, this (without the brush) was less than £2, and comfortably holds a MWF puck in the base of it:

Ya I ordered the Geo Bowl based on his videos.. but when i received it I was like wow man this thing is way too tiny. My dry brush literally fills the whole surface of the bowl and it's a med size brush. If i wet the brush and try to lather in it, there is absolutely no room. It's only usable if you want to keep a small soap in it.

It's not ceramic but I use a plastic, double-walled 'salsa bowl' from wal-mart then hit it with 100 grit sandpaper and carved some light crosshatches into it to help it build lather.

$1.50 totally worth it.

Doctor, I have a Danish Gravy Bowl like the one above that I paid a $1 for. You pay shipping on it and you can have it. It's plenty big enough to lather in. Just send me a PM

I agree - but they stopped the sale on them. Most Wal-Marts are without right now. Good item, though. Very easy to shlep on a trip and it is unbreakable. I curl my thumb over it and it is light and secure.

Dave,

If the doctor doesn't take you up on this, I'd be willing to buy it from you. I quit looking around here and am currently using a backpackers Sierra Cup.
