Got this little beauty from ebay the other day, shaves good too.


My question is; what year is it?

If it has no date code, it could be a 47-48 Superspeed. I'm far from an expert, however, and I'm sure more knowledgeable folks will chime in here momentarily.

No date code, only the Gillette diamond, Reg. US. Pat. Off. , Made in USA,and under the blade area, Pat. nos. on package.

Thanks Joe. You asked the exact same question about the exact same razor I was about to ask. Looks like we have a 47-48 SS !

Open the silo. If the center bar is straight, it's a '47. If it's notched, it's '48-'50. Great razor.

just received my 47-48 SS in the mail too! No date code on it.

Just shined it up with some maas... looks practically brand new.
