I'm new to the DE Razor game.
Although I'm in my 60's....I never used one, till I bought my Muhle R 89 in October , 2010.
I do recall my father using a DE Razor...up to about the very early 60's...then he went to an electric razor and stayed with that for the rest of his life.
Gillette back in the 50's and 60's seemed to dominate the market and DE shavers, especially in the 1950's seemed to be very common.
But now, from what I can see...all the DE razors seem to be from Europe, Asia, etc...but not North America.
I can't recall the last time I saw a Gillette DE Razor for sale. Any historians out there, that know why DE shaving seemed to die out in NA, when the last Gillette...or any other North American DE Razor was last made ?
