Yep, it's bloody good value and the handle design is about as good as it gets - light, large and comfortable.

I shave while in the shower too so I tend to prefer a brush handle that won't break if I drop it

Precisely - the larger handle of the 10048/49 makes for a plus.

I prefer to manipulate the bristles to encourage broader fanning as such:

I found a 28mm boar knot that I set in a homemade handle. It’s turned into an excellent knot (brush). Break in took a long time but I find myself using this brush exclusively despite having 30 or more brushes. I do like Zenith and Omega knots.

This is the best big brush I've ever used. Only about $15.00. The handle is supper solid, unlike some of the Omega plastic handles. Not floppy at all.
