Forgive me if this has been covered a bunch of times before but have any of you had experience shaving with the lady Gillette with the blue stars? I just kind of like the look of it with the blue and the retro design. And the long handle might be nice to use, too.

If you had to compare the shave to another Gillette what, in your opinion, would be the closest?

I just got one and have been shaving with it for about a week. I don't have experience with any other Gillettes except for the SS ('56), so I can only compare it to that. The lady gillette has a longer handle and is maybe just a tiny bit lighter. The head on the lady gillette is also slightly lower profiled than my ss. I really like this razor. I am able to consistently get excellent shaves with it without any irritation or nicks. I'd highly recommend it.

My wife loves hers. I tried it once, but found it wasn't agressive enough. They are very attractive razors, though... like something you'd use at NASA in the early 60's...

The head on the Lady Gillette IS a Superspeed.
Just a different handle.
They make great shavers, no doubt about it.

I got my wife one of these and she loves it. Small learning curve, but she's there. She has appropriated my pump KissMyFace cream, but that's OK, works great in the shower. And, yeah, it its the same head as the flair tip SS, I believe. Looks like it, anyway.

I have a '65 Lady Gillette with the blue stars. To me it feels a bit more aggressive than my '53 SS (forties style). Not only do I occasionally nick myself with the Lady Gillette, but several days in a row leaves me with irritation. I have to stop using it. The forties style, on the other hand, shaves very nearly as close but never leaves me irritated.

I love the long handle on the '65. The razor just feels so balanced. If I could switch the heads on these two, I think I'd have the perfect razor.

Oh, I have a '66 SS and it feels identical to the Lady Gillette, which makes sense since they share the same head design.
