Gents, I just ordered a mint looking Lady Gillette (the light blue one) for my bride and it should be arriving soon. I've cleaned up several razors and soaked them in Barbicide with no problems, but I'm wondering if the Barbicide would interact with the light blue finish on the handle of the LG in any way. Have any of you folks cleaned one of these beauties up? Also, am I the only guy who is becoming a bad influence on his wife by getting her into DE shaving?

I'm not sure about the blue, but as far as being a bad influence on yer wife, I have recently gotten my wife into de shaving. She has a parker 29L and a 1968 Gillette Knack
I got the same razor for my wife about two weeks ago. So far she likes it but it does have a learning curve compared to the Trac-2 razor she has used forever.
As far as cleaning used razors there are a few steps I follow. 1) good long soak in hot water with dish soap, 2) scrubbing with a soft bristle brush, 3) scrubbing bubbles if needed, 4) I open the flaps and soak the heads only in a diluted solution of lysol concentrate. I don't think it's necessary to soak the entire razor in lysol or barbicide but will soak the heads for about 10 minutes. So far this has worked for me and it's based on the care and cleaning wiki here on B&B.

I bought my GF both the blue & pink. I cleaned them both by boiling hot water THEN turned off the heat THEN put in the razors. Doing one at a time. Then used alchoal to further clean the nasties. I do not SE any problem if you opened up the doors set them end side up in barbicide (correctly diluted that is) being careful not to let them soak past the stars. 10-15 min no longer than that.
Please get other ideals then decide which way to go. As in my case YMMV. But my GF
loves her lady gillette's with a feather blade. She likes kiss my face lavender. I caught her making her own lather with proraso green. She's prolly used them for 3 months no Knicks of cuts. Now she's looking at a joris. Sheesh what have I done?
