Lady Gillette Blue

I just got a Blue Lady Gillette. Wanted to get it for SWMBO. Picked it up on the bay with an 18.00 Snipe. This thing is in near mint condition! Handle perfect, not a single bit of color loss on any of the Starbursts. Couldn't be happier. Now she has the nicest razor of all, better than all of mine. Hope I can get her to use it. She is a little spooked by them. Any suggestions on getting her comfortable with it?

Im trying to convert the wife over as well. I might have to pick her some stuff up for her birthday... Hopefully she would use it ;)

I got my wife a very similar Lady Gillette, nice and minty. I couldn't get her into the brush, but she uses Kiss My Face cream in the pump and it works very nicely for her. It didn't happen overnight. But she stuck with it and now is very satisfied.

Offer to whip up a ton of great lather for her and then show her how to use it. My wife loves her Lady Gillette. She's never used it. I get the call from the shower on weekends.

I got the same blue lady gillette from an antique store for $4. convincing the missus was no easy task but she eventually tried it and liked it. I told her to exercise caution because of how sharp the blades are - now she seems to think it does a better job than her disposables.

Wow that's a great snipe! I paid almost $35 for the one I won on the bay. As the others have said, run her a bath, whip up some great lather, and give her a careful shave. Once she sees it's not a deadly weapon she'll be much more at ease with it. Given some of the dull, weeks-old disposables I've known ladies to shave with, these should be a dream come true.

reminded me of something a friend of mine once used to introduce someone at a banquet

"he's been like an uncle to me. he taught me about shaving. he taught me about women. he taught me about shaving women."

Bought a mint set for my wife. Upon presentation:

"Oh,that's cute!"
Will you use it?
"Not on your life!!"

In the end, I guess it's for me! Good luck!

Great price!

I got a blue one on the BST for about that, then searched until I was able to get a pink one off eBay. The pink was in great shape.

I got my wife started with a really mild shaver (Weishi) then got the blue one her, she really liked the longer handle. Being into pink, was even happier when I handed that one to her. Now she's tried three different blades, and prefers Derby's.

Well I handed the razor off to Lily on Friday. Light Blue is her favorite color, so I am sure that helped. Then she asked me where are the blades? I think everything is going to be ok.

I got my bride a Blue Lady, and she lets me use it on her, but when she is shaving herself in the shower she still prefers a Trac II.
