Kiss My Face

So I tried some KMF lavender for the first time today, and I have to say that I was very impressed! Lots of nice lather, and for a great price too.

I have the Lavender on the roster to try next.
This evening went with the KMF Key Lime.
Nice but no cigar, IMHO, especially considering all the other Lime choices out there.
Will let you know the impressions on Lavender in a couple days or so.

KMF is a great value. My personal favorite scent is the peppermint, primarily because it has a nice menthol-like tingle.

How well does KMF lavender lather? Im planning on buying some to use when i travel. I assume you can use it brushless?

I want to just take my Merkur 34C, one shave cream, one Aftershave and my Nivea sensitive ASB.

It is marketed as being brushless, though i have never tried it without a brush. If you do use a brush, you can get copious amounts of lather with minimal effort.

I'm not much of a lavender guy, but it performs fairly well. Almost a slime like consistency. Still not as good as a good soap though, but it is a great value.

Used the KMF lavender-shea this morning.
I'd rate it a notch above their Key Lime, due to more butteriness and stronger scent.
Lather lasted nicely through my two passes.
It lathered easily with a small-to-moderate amount of water.
And, while better than the key lime, I found it still to be a little shy in the protection/thickness department.
After, I liberally used some Coral Skin Food for moisturizer.
Overall, for the price, not bad.

Well, altho the lavender was ok and the price point is good, I still found the KMF shave creams to be lacking in protection and comfort for me. I was having to mix them with other creams or use a balm in place of an astringent A/S that I normally would prefer. So...

That's harsh man, but you gotta do what you gotta do...

I like the performance I got from the Pomegranate Grapefruit cream, it was quite excellent really, but the scent was over the top for me. It smelled like something I would find in my children's bowl at breakfast or in the candy isle, not exactly how I would choose to start my day. So back in the shower for wifey it went.

send them to me...I am just about through my tube of lime....and luckily...in my neck of the woods Captains Choice is rumored to be sold at Whole Foods soon....so I can grab my kmf limes, captains choice limes and not worry about scurvy.

I use KMF unscented when I superlather with a favorite soap. It's a great value IMO.

Me too. It's decent on its own, but I have to use a bit more of it than with other creams. But combined in a super/uberlather it is sensational I keep unscented around for that very purpose. Rather than fire products I like, but have a flaw or two, I prefer to combine them to make a better product--and have some fun!

I tried the lavender last night with a brush and bowl. It lathered super fast, ready for use in < 30 seconds. Worked great for the first past but seemed to dry out for subsequent passes. I found myself adding some more water and then some more product for the pass #4. I'll be doing some more experimenting with it this week.

I tried the lavender KMF again tonight. Either it's just not working for me or I'm doing it wrong. It lathers quickly but doesn't seem to last and dries out quickly on my face. For those of you that are having success with it, how much are you using, how are you lathering and how many passes are you able to get?

I use a pump and a half and I get three passes out of it either on my head or face. Also I find that it lathers much better with a brush for me.

KMF is pretty good, not expensive, and is widely available. However it can't keep up with my favorite, Godrej. Once you have tried the 'Rej, your standards are a lot higher.

I'm way more black/white with regards to soaps and creams. Either it's a scent I like and lather I like that is effective, or not. I don't really worry about degrees of lather quality. Either I can get a good shave with the lather, or I can't.
