Kiss My Face Patchouli?

Hi Guys, I could use some help pairing an aftershave with the KMF Patchouli shaving cream. I find that because of the patchouli scent, not all aftershave scents go well with it. Any recommendations for a decent pairing would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have recently been using Burt's Bees Aftershave Balm and it has patchouli in it, so I'm sure it would mesh well after using the KMF Patchouli shaving cream, that is if you are looking for a balm.

An aftershave splash that I recently discovered that I think would go well with your KMF Patchouli SC is Aubrey Organics "Spice Island". It's a bay rum/patchouli/ginseng, witch-hazel-based AS splash with the bay rum topmost at first and the Patchouli dominating during the drydown. This AS is a bit strong, almost cologne strength, so I go without any cologne or other scent when I use it. It's not what I would call a formal scent at all, but for casual use (especially during the cooler months) I would highly recommend it.:thumbup1:

If you're getting your KMF from your local Whole Foods, it's probably available just down the aisle - at least in both of my local WF's. If you don't see it, ask. Most health food stores will do a special order at little to no additional cost. Speaking of, IIRC the cost is $9.95 for a 4 oz (glass) bottle.

Aubrey Organics also has two other offerings - "City Rhythms" (no experience here) and "North Woods" (piney). If you're intereseted in checking them out on the web, see the B&B "Americam Aftershaves Compendium" thread for a link (I STILL can't figure how to insert a link in a post!)

Of course, the classic option would be to go with Musgo Real. A GREAT splash with a patchouli note, if a bit sticky when applied too liberally. It's a bit more pricey, but works very well in a more formal setting. Again, this is a dominating scent, so I forego using anything else when I wear it. Musgo's quality is unassailably high, and I can also give my personal recommendation to it as well.

Wingnut took the works outta my mouth, er, from my fingertips.

Musgo Real Classic is wonderful stuff. I often use the KMF/Musgo combination and I've been very happy with it.

i was just looking at my tube this morning of kmf patchouli...and i was thinkin it would go very naturally with pashana....gonna give i a whirl later, you should try it too! Pashana is like a powdery, patchouli for me.

Gentleman Givenchy would be the ultimate. Pricey but I've used it for almost forty years. The best price I've found was on fragrancenet.com. Women love it. It seems to haunt them because the fragrance is really hard to figure out. In all these years a dental hygenist recently nailed it; she recognized the patchouli. If you like patchouli, you really must give this a try.

I use an aubrey organics City rythyms as balm quite often as well
Aloe, Alcohol, witch hazel, patchouli sandalwood bergamot, ylang ylang willowherb ,jojoba and other good stuff. Its actually pretty good stuff.
I also buy the patchouli oil and apply it str8t as a perfume its pretty strong stuff.

thanks for all the advice everyone, i will exploring the options. Against the Grain shaving has the Musgo Real, i think i will pick some up.

When I use my KMF patchouli, I end it with a splash of Thayer's and that's it. I like to have the scent of the patchouli linger without anything else on there to interfere.
