Traveling light as we took food and supplies to a cabin near Rocky Mountain National Park. We are celebrating my Wife and Grandson’s birthdays.
Gorgeous up here.
Beautiful morning. Not much smoke from the wildfires.
We’ve seen deer, elk, and wild turkeys.

A very English morning. My first go with this stunning 1948 British Aristocrat from a set #15.
The venerable gen 2 was easy to use, and I had zero difficulty obtaining my usual close and comfortable daily shave.
From the 5 varieties of British Aristocrats, I can’t say that it’s my favorite shaver. The blade vibration was pretty apparent, and it’s just not quite as smooth as the others. As with the early open combs, the knurling is shallow, and I use a little alum on my fingers to improve grip.
Nevertheless, it has a solid blade gap and exposure, and it’s a rhodium plated mirror finish Aristocrat—they make any day just a little bit better!
