King Gillette Weekend

Good Morning. For my first King Gillette Weekend Shave in a long, long, time, I chose my fathers 1952 Gillette Black Tip Super Speed. Along with a 1956 Gillette Blue Blade, which I consider to be among the worlds finest blades. Too bad these blades are essentially a lost art, as far as production goes. I don’t believe this world will ever see blades remotely as good as these carbon steel blades ever again.
Today’s shave was quick and close. The Caties Bubbles performed admirably as always. A few drops of vintage English Leather for masculine effect, and I was off and running.

Music for the Shave was by the Commodores. The tune: Nightshift.

A one pass DFS.

It's a King Gillette "Tech" Weekend thus far. Nice Techs above and keeping with the theme...

Gillette Pre-War FrankenTech
Gillette Silver Blue
Tabac
Omega Jade Boar
Old Spice Original "Mumbai"

I will add that this pre-war tech is a fantastic little razor. Paired with the GSB and Tabac, one could comfortably settle with this duo of Tech/Tabac and enjoy daily shaves on a budget for life. I highly recommend the per-war Tech to newbies looking for a vintage Gillette.

+1 to this. 👍

What components did you use to make up the FrankenTech?

Thank you, Thomas. :)
