Probably the same guy who was selling a mach3 500.00$, couples weeks ago. There is no way a mug can be worth this price, except if the previous owner was Caesar or Napoleon XD
For those who didn't know it mugs like this often shows the occupation of the owner. Each customer had his own mug (and brush) standing in the barbershop. Mugs like this allways go for high prices as there are a lot of collectors out there.
Actually, in 2005 the mug sold for $3,750 and from what I can see, there was an additional 18% buyers premium for a total of $4,425. I don't think the buyers premium was included in the hammer price reported.
