kids' swing sets

By any chance, does anyone here own or have any experience with backyard play sets made by a company called Creative Playthings? If so, I'd love to hear any feedback you might have. Thanks.

Let me ask a broader question: does anyone in the NYC metro area (preferably Westchester/Putnam, Rockland, or Western Connecticut) have any recommendations for a good place to get a wooden backyard swing set/jungle gym? A few I've heard of are Creative Playthings (as per my prior post), Eastern Jungle Gyms, and Rainbow Play Systems.

Also, I'd be interested to hear your views on cedar/redwood vs. pressure treated pine.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Not in the NYC area, but I've had a Creative Playthings swingset for my kids, and it was really nice. They loved it, and I didn't have any questions about quality. It was very good, and I felt it was well worth the money as well.

I'm assuming they've come along way since I was a kid and we accidentally severed my friend's thumb in the "see saw" section of the metal tubed monstrosity.

Yeah, it wasnt a complete sever, but broke it and cut it about halfway off...
Lesson learned, it's a bad idea for one kid to stradle the top of the swing set and push the seesaw to its limits.

He made a full recovery after some stitches...

Thanks - they are really nice sets, but they may not be able to accommodate the slope of my yard, unfortunately.

This sounds so much like a story from my childhood.
