Kicking Horse

Hello All

After much discussion with a few friends about what makes a great cup of coffee, I decided to get a new 'office' setup. (Since that is where I drink most of my coffee anyway)

So, I grabbed my dad's old coffee grinder, a pack of Kicking Horse 454 beans, and an AeroPress...

So far, the results have been brilliant. The Aeropress is simple to use, even easier to clean, and makes a great cup in about 30 seconds.

I have never cared for black coffee, so imagine my suprise when I had made about 5 cups with this setup, and had totally forgotten the cream and sugar. The coffee alone was worth it.

Anyone else ever try Kicking Horse?

Take Care

Nice setup. The aeropress and fresh ground coffee is a recipe for success! Is there a story behind why it's called #454? I have never heard of the Kicking Horse coffee brand before.

Thanks guys.

The setup is an odd mixture of the old and the new, but the coffee grinder makes a very uniform grind, so I'll stick with it.

@Dfrancis, I saw a dozen kicking horse varieties, can you recommend any others?

Grizzly Claw is probably my 2nd favorite after 454. Hoodoo is also nice. Seeing as you are in southern Alberta I would also recommend giving Blue Mountain brand coffee a try, Peru is my fave of theirs.
