“Keep Cool and Green” August 2022

My dear friends, right now I'm on a train directed back in Rome. I've passed three great days with my family in the homeland of Proraso: Firenze. It's unquestionably one of the most beautiful cities in the world... :001_wub:

Dear Sir, I visited Firenze back in 2015 for my honeymoon. And I totally agree, it's the most beautiful city I've ever seen and been to. If I had a chance to live there my whole life, I'd do it. I especially enjoyed the high-quality street music on hot August nights. Very vibrant and colorful city.

I think I have one more shave in this old tube of Proraso before I have to open the new one.

For today’s shave, I used Proraso products (of course), followed by Rogue‘s Mousse Illuminee for my “green” fragrance. I finally killed this tube of Proraso, so tomorrow I’m opening up my tube of the “super formula.”

What are your first impressions of the Super Formula, Trey?
Well, I was a big fan of the original, so I’m easy to please. My first impressions are same excellent cooling sensation and aroma with perhaps easier latherabililty and slightly better slickness.

Minor changes in today's set-up: Proraso The Ever-Green Super Formula preshave and soap (not cream), followed by the Original 1932 Floid The Genuine Aftershave.

Well, Floid is not "green", but just like Proraso it's fresh and mentholated, it's a traditional barbershop weapon and it's now made by the same Ludovico Martelli Company.

The cologne is the superb Ralph Lauren Polo Green.

Proraso products followed by Jacomo de Jacomo (vintage):

I’m being pretty broad in my interpretation of green—but mossy fragrances like Jacomo count for me, even if they are a bit dark.

On vacation this week (Chincoteague/Assateague), so no pictures. Proraso green products followed by Carven Vetiver.

For today's shave I've used my usual and trusted Proraso The Ever-Green Super Formula trio: preshave, cream and lotion.

The fragrance is the excellent Geo. F. Trumper Astor Cologne. I know, it's not "green", but I have yet to add the Wild Fern to my small collection.

I have just recently added Polo Intense cologne to my eau de toilette collection. Yes, ignore the poor name choice, it's not a cologne but an EDT and it's pretty good AND green.

It's a fresh and a more modern take on Polo Green and it lingers forever on my skin. Heck, I can shower and still smell it on my wrists afterwards.

Just to stay in the me, I also used Proraso green.

Have some great, green shaves!
