Handle and avatar? The "Smash Martians" are a throwback to a UK TV advert in my childhood. The idea of Mars led me to the Edgar Rice Burroughs books and a hideous, smugly intellectual race of creatures who only appeared in one and a bit stories so never really got the star billing they deserved. Not sure why I related to them.
