I just received my Kai folding razor from Telly, and I've got to say its even more impressive than the pictures show. I've been using the Feather folding and non folding razors for going on a year now, and have been waiting for the Kai's to come available. For my straights I have only been using the Feather razor's, and they have been excellent shavers. I really like the ease of using them, and the convenience of just having to put in a new blade and not get involved with the stropping, honing, and other care related things of a regular straight.
I've been in contact with Telly over the past few months, about getting the Kai razors, both the folding and the non folding razors. Telly was able to finally get hold of some of the folding razors, and I received mine today. At first glance I was most impressed with the Kai. It looks and feels even better than the Feather, and I have 3 of the Feathers. The shave was more than excellent. The Kai will take the Feather blades, so a super pro gave me a shave that was better than my Feather's. This is one excellent razor. Telly has said that some people who stated they wanted one have backed out, and he has a few extra. If anyone is at all interested in a disposable blade straight, get in touch with Telly and grab one of these. You won't be sorry you did. I realize that this is just my opinion, and with anything shave related its YMMV. But really I think any member who uses the Feather system would be very happy with the Kai, and I'm sure Telly would rather our members get them then offering them on ebay. Telly's price is substantially lower than you could get on the open market.
I also see that he has said that the non folding's should be available soon. I know I'll be grabbing one of those from him. If you're even considering either one of the Kai's, I'm sure you'll be pleased, so get in touch with Telly and don't get left out.
