What's new

Just when I thought I was done.

After selling most all of my SE razors including my Schick Type F, Damaskeene OC and 1907 Lather Catcher; I had figured to be done with SEs for a while.

In all fairness, I did keep keep my OCMM and my Cobra Classic (some razors are like part of the family, if you get my meaning). :biggrin1:

Then of course I see this thing for sale, and having never tried one, I had to no choice but to pull the trigger.

I trust these things shave fairly well? In a perfect world, I would be hoping for the closeness of the OCMM and the smoothness of a 1912. Is the Streamline going to be even a little close or no?

The Streamline is one of a handful of razors that I would happily give up everything else for. I have to force myself to not use it every day.

She's a beauty - I think RazorX told me that's his favorite SE razor, and that they are hard to come by
Congrats

Out of all the single edge razors (excluding the Cobra which is in a class of its own)....

My favorite is the GEM micromatic bullet knob flying wing.

It just seems to be the one that shaves the best for me. Maybe I have an exception one (was NOS when I got it). I do like my Sreamline for the sheer beauty and sexy appearance but the flying wing shaves better for me

The Streamline is a beautiful razor, hope it shaves well for you.
You sold off some nice hard to find razors!!

Heck of a razor,I like mine quite a bit and have a couple of backups.
Handling's different than other SE's Patience will be rewarded,my shaves continuously got better with experience.

You may find the handle to be too small for you, hope not.
Please let us know how it goes....

For the first time went to an antique store today. Spent there two hours (a big one). Only saw a red tip Gillette in poor shape for $15, two SE, a gold tone ans a Damaskeene. Heard a lot of good things about the latter, but I am a freaking perfectionist and the razor was in acceptable but not great shape. Now, I think for $10 i should have picked it up...
