What's new

Just received my new Feather All Stainless today!

I can't wait to try it out. I shave every other day so I'm going to have to wait till Sunday morning.

Congrats! Enjoy this beautiful razor. It takes time to master this piece of art but when you do, it's heaven. My Go-To razor is my Feather. It is sooooo darn smoooooooth!

Congratulations on your choice of razor, I have had my AS-01 for approx 15 months and love it.
however I did go through a bit of a learning curve compared too my other collection of DE razors and various combinations of DE blades. I finally settled on a choice of two blades: Astra Plat or Voskhod. Enjoy

Congratulations! Nothing like the excitement of taking a new razor out of the box. Especially one as beautiful as the Feather.

Don't get frustrated. Take the time to learn the angle. My first shave with it was a 8 passer that still had stubble left. It took a good week at least before I became anywhere near proficient with it. And if after all they time you still aren't getting the efficiency that you believe you should be out of it, try putting a shim under the blade to increase the gap a bit.

It's one of the hardest razors to learn how to use correctly, but I'd you get it right you'll be rewarded with the smoothest damn shave of your life. Pair it with a feather blade and this thing cuts so well and the blade is held so firmly that you can buff ATG all day and not feel a single tug or skip. Awesome razor. Plus, the shave is so mild (once you get the angle right and are getting results with 3 passes) that you probably can shave every day with it instead of skipping a day.

Also, if you normally like you lather really thick and cushiony, I'd Reccomend applying it a bit thinner with this razor. Thick lather seems to clog it and reduce efficiency due to te blade exposure being so low.

Thank you for the advice!

Just had my first shave with the feather and i must say i LOVE this razor! The angle was slightly different than i'm used to but I think i'm getting the hang of it, thanks to your advice and a few youtube videos on the feather. 3 passes and i'm pretty damn smooth. one of the best shaves that i've had. Well worth the investment.
