If that is a good Wostenholm (I mean if she's in good shape) then yes, you did well. That photo is so bad, I wouldn't have risked it though. Fingers crossed.
I asked the seller the standard questions, and I think I will hold him to his word with 1223 sells and 100% feedback.
Does it center in the scales without the edge making contact on either side?Yes, when held to light room on both sides. Is the pivot pin tight? Yes Are the scales original? As far as I can tell. Are there any cracks in the scales? No cracks or chips. Are there any hairline cracks in the blade? I do not see or fell any cracks. Thanks, Lyle
Well the ad says there is rust. Under rust, there is pitting. If that pitting is in or near the edge you'll have to hone through it. Also, "light surface rust" means different things to different people. Then there are lots of other things that people could have done to the razor that wouldn't be visible in those photos.
Also, I don't see the guy selling any other razors, and who knows what he has sold in the past. I know lots of people who think something is a great razor when it's really junk - not cause they are trying to lie or decieve (though some are), but because they just don't know.
The more you buy off ebay, the more you see stupid things people do to razors and junk razors. Hopefully you are safe, I'm just saying that with those photos it's a risk.
