Just ordered a "Mergress"

Well I am thinking it is a step in the right direction. I have a 34G and a Vision 2000, both had some quality issues. I love the 34G for it's handling, but don't like that it is not adjustable, so the only blade I've found so far that I like in it are the Gillette 7 o'clock Ever Sharp blades. I have a little stash of them, like 400 or so. My Vision 2000 is nice, except I had to remove some casting burrs from the silo doors that were causing blade deflections, so the blade edges were not straight Plus the adjustments on the Vision are not orientated, so you are kind of left to your own devices, literally.

So in reading I've have determined that I want to try a Mergress, which to me has at least gone through some inspection and adjustment, thus I am hoping to improve my shaving experience. Do you guys think I have made a wise decision?

I don't know much about adjustable razors, but your logic seems sound. If nothing else, it will help keep RAD in check, which is always good

I just got a Mergress a couple weeks ago. It's moved into the number 1 or 2 slot already. Really like it. Only my Slant vies for my affection.

I have had mine now for over a month and I don't hardly use anything else. I am very pleased. There is a very slight difference in blade gap from side to side but it is a visual difference that I can't feel while shaving. It "zeros" out at 1 and it returns to the same setting every time I change the blade. The balance is perfect and I like the extra weight. I still like my HD and Slant but I really don't use them much any more. Best of luck with yours.

Just checked my email and earlier today Lee's Safety Razors sent me the ship notification email!!! Since it's ship via Priority Mail, I may see it this Saturday!!!! Now I just have to try to not get so excited and remind myself that it may not come until next week, but Chicago isn't that far from Lee's, so it's possible.

Let's see, going fishing at 4AM on Saturday....must catch walleyes for dinner. Mail comes at 2PM, so take shower at 2:30PM, shave with new Mergress, relax with a tall drink, start the grill up, make dinner. It'll be a great a day......now what blade to install for it's maiden voyage....7 O'clock, Derby, Gillette Swede, Super Iridium.....soap or cream, which one, after shave balm, after shave......choices man they take energy.
