Just finished making my first scales.

It didn't take that long only three hours in the finishing and sanding. Used lace wood and it is for my Ralf Aust Razor waiting for the washers to come in to peen the blade and base together.

If any one is curious I found a finish that is easier to work with than CA.

You apply it very then coats and do a little sanding after the first 2 coats. Then the more you add on this high gloss finish comes out.

It is! I was sitting in my kitchen table and there was no smell what so ever plus it food grade safe after 30 days.

Not so sweet not in pinning the bottom the and taking out the alignment ROD at the top one of the scales broke. So last night I made another pair of a different shape. I'll post pictures up later.
