I was in NYC today for a trivia contest and happened to walk into Obscura Antiques at 280 East 10th Street. They had a vintage Merkur Slant still in it's wax paper in the plastic clamshell case and it was all in the paper box for $25. It was a little rich for my blood and not something I was looking for, but I thought I would let anyone in NYC know there is a razor out there looking for a home.

BTW, if someone DOES pick this up, let me know so I don't get the urge to hike back up there to relieve them of it. Of course, it does mean I get to break out my Stetson if the weather is cool enough...

It's over an hour away from me, and usually once I decide against something, I don't like to contradict myself by then buying it. But if it's still there next month, I might just take it as an omen or portent.

I think some monster bought it and flipped it on ebay for 4x the value.
I saw that, I love how the seller kept it wrapped up like a mummy so you had no idea what the razor looked like.
