Junk/Antique Find.... Senator?

I bought this razor a couple of weeks ago at a junk/antique store. I didn't get a chance to clean it until this week. Am I right, is this a Senator? That's what it looks like on Mr. Razor's site. It cleaned up really nicely. It only has a couple of indentations (probable from being dropped) on one silo. Nothing bad at all. The TTO works great, the teeth are straight, and it REALLY SHINES. Does anyone have any info, how does it shave, what blades to use?

Anything would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yep that's a senator. Nice find.

Oh, and the shave is beautiful. I love the open combs. The senator is one of my favorites.
I've only tried two different blades in it - those wal-mart personna blades and some gillette thins. Both worked fine.

No need for special blades. The blade design was essentially frozen with "The New" when it came out in 1930.

Should be a good shaving experience.

Oh man, that's nice. You don't find the open comb TTO razors every day! Great shape, too.

Would you sell/trade this razor?

No thanks.

I think I'll keep this one.

Not even for one million dollars?

Hey, great find. Enjoy it!

Nice razor - these are getting hard to find and can run close to $100 for one that is not beaten up. The senator is a fairly mild razor, a feather works very well.
