A girl at work found him running around a busy street at daybreak yesterday. No microchip, so we put a few Found Dog ads out. Until that day comes, which I doubt it will, he's living with us.
Well! I just . . . well, you can't call it "splurged" when you have the equivalent of a coupon. I sent two of my 1980s pipes to Blue Room Briars, and they offered me more than enough to scoop up this French fellow I'd been eyeing: Jeantet Bayari HK-30 Billiard with Horn Stem Estate Pipe with Replacem – Blue Room Briars - https://tinyurl.com/nuvuwkw
Scott says the pipe could well be from the '50s or '60s, maybe earlier. I'm not a clencher, so I don't care about vulcanite/ebonite stems and prefer the low maintenance of acrylic. This one is a horn stem, which will be a first for me!
As Scott put it, this pipe seems to have a great deal of "pipiness." And as I've said before, there's an air about a straight pipe that says, "Yeah, I smoke a pipe. You got a problem with that?"Like! A big roomy chamber in a straight billiard. Definitely something I would smoke all day.

Father's Day presents! Chinese pipes from Amazon from well meaning daily. Those are the styles I've been looking at lately. But I love them and I'll smoke them until they burn out. And next year point her to something in the va/or category.
Thanks! That was a birthday present from my sister. And today I got the last of my presents. The pipe insert for it!Nice! Thats a neat looking lighter too
OutstandingGod Bless the USPS:

Those Partagas Shorts are a consistent favorite. An intoxicating hint of barnyard followed by dark cocoa as soon as I opened the vacuum pack.
Oh, and I got these Spano Decorated Cedar Spills:
