What's new

June Acquisitions

I bought this massive bent apple? Bent brandy? Doesn't matter to me much, I like it anyway.

Not sure if it's considered a churchwarden or not, but it's pretty cool.

Not directly tobacco related, but I picked up a new smoking buddy.

A girl at work found him running around a busy street at daybreak yesterday. No microchip, so we put a few Found Dog ads out. Until that day comes, which I doubt it will, he's living with us.

Well! I just . . . well, you can't call it "splurged" when you have the equivalent of a coupon. I sent two of my 1980s pipes to Blue Room Briars, and they offered me more than enough to scoop up this French fellow I'd been eyeing: Jeantet Bayari HK-30 Billiard with Horn Stem Estate Pipe with Replacem – Blue Room Briars - https://tinyurl.com/nuvuwkw

Scott says the pipe could well be from the '50s or '60s, maybe earlier. I'm not a clencher, so I don't care about vulcanite/ebonite stems and prefer the low maintenance of acrylic. This one is a horn stem, which will be a first for me!

Like! A big roomy chamber in a straight billiard. Definitely something I would smoke all day.
