I don’t think LJB was asking for himself; I think it was more of a thought experiment. Either way, your words are spot-on, for all aspects of life.

The thought experiment is essentially that the rules of the GRUME can be violated because they aren't ironclad as written. Meaning, there are loopholes in the GRUME rules that can be exploited by the intelligent and corrupt.

Practically any written contract or law can be exploited by a sufficiently intelligent individual. My point is just that we should all understand the intent behind the GRUME and should not look for loopholes that get around the rules of the GRUME. I think almost everyone who participates in these threads follows that line of thought. Meaning, most of us hold ourselves personally accountable more so than anyone else could hold us accountable.
