Final shave of the month was a BBS. I wasn't chasing BBS, but somehow I got there in two easy, relaxing passes. Sticking to one razor and blade pays off. It was my sixth successfull GRUME in a row and I can't believe the half of 2023 is already gone. Well, at least I had a perfect shave to celebrate this
I have one last shave left with LEA Classic, so soon I will need to pick another "target".

P.S. "Not buying stuff" seems to be more fun for me than my shoping spree last year.

Last shave of the month and final try with the GSB. Definitely this beloved blade doesn’t agree with my face. Lather was on point today, better than most of my other shaves, good prep and I still managed to get 3 nicks and some irritation with the Henson /GSB combo. Again, the nicks were in “easy” places, so my guess is this blade is not forgiving enough in my case. Will probably try again when I have a couple of years wet shaving

Last June GRUME post! Closed it out with 9 /10 quality shave. Shave #319 on my Feather. (And to think, I had originally binned it 302 shaves ago!!) Tomorrow I’m going to do my first resupply since some time in late 2022. My soap is about at an end. One of my pucks is so thin that it stuck to my brush when I lifted it out of the mug to face lather, LOL. Tomorrow will also be my resupply for GRUYER, which I couldn’t take care of at the beginning of the year, so I will be buying a tad more than usual. I just hope I guess right and don’t fall short.

After five shaves, four soaps and four blades I have decided this razor is going get a new owner.
Don't get me wrong: the Blackbird not only is the most beautiful razor out there, it shaves extremely close too and should be ranked among the top dogs.
It is just not my kind of razor. Difficult to explain, but I think its gliding capacity seems to be a mismatch with my skin. So that's it. This razor deserves a caring new owner.
Those willing to skip the first day of July grume can drop me a PM. Rest assured: it will be a bargain. I dislike it if one of my razors falls into the hands of some moron who cannot thoroughly appreciate our passion.

A bit late to the party but I made it - completed my first GRUME successfully!
Life has been too busy over the last week to give me time to post on this thread - work, washing the fun car twice (which takes a while to satisfy my OCD) to take each of my two boys to their respective prom nights, plus some travel - but I've managed to find time to shave at least.
I've now settled into a routine of one soap (MdC), 2 Zenith boar brushes alternated, the Athena at weekends and the GC 2.0 II during the week, using Nacet and 7 o'clock yellow SharpEdge blades respectively. I think I'll leave it at that for a while now - but I won't join July GRUME because I'm going to stock up on some of the above blades and soap to keep me going for a while having found what works well for me.
See you in August GRUME - and well done to everyone for also finishing, and commiserations for those who fell off!
