Afternoon Shave

Prep:
> Shower & Charcoal Face Wash
Razor:
> Henson ++
Blade:
> Treet: Carbon Steel (BB) [#2] (3 / +2 Passes) Total: 5 passes for 3 shaves. Tossed.
Soap:
> Master Soap Creations: Peppermint Lime (Mentholated)
Aftershave:
> My own formulation of Witch Hazel, Aloe, & Water
Pass type:
> WTG all around | XTG on chin

This shave was similar to the first experience I had with this blade. Unfortunately it was tugging a lot, and left a bit of irritation.
I had to throw the blade away as it started to oxidize despite me cleaning and drying the blade each time.

Morning Shave

Prep:
> Shower & Charcoal Face Wash
Razor:

Soap:
> Monsavon au lait purchased from @Golden_Edge
Aftershave:

A nice shave this morning, no major issues aside from a couple weepers. I much enjoyed both the soap and the aftershave gel. They smell really good and do a great job.

That's quite a jump from the Treet to a Permasharp, but it also sounds like a much better match for the Henson. I only get two shaves out of those, the third is a bit iffy so I just skip it and grab a new one. It sounds like it worked for you based on your ratings, maybe the second shave will be even better!

Yeah the Treet was nice for a couple shaves, but definitely not durable. That lack of durability really does make a difference.

The Gold & Red Permasharp seems like it will be really good, but I hope it will soften up a bit and stop producing blood.

I have a lot of blades to try still, and this is a new one for me still.

Oh I see, you have the other Perma-Sharp. Yeah, those can be a bit much. If you get a chance, do try the Indian made ones in the green package.

I had a bit of brain racking to do to put this together myself, so I ended up using chat-gpt and tweaked it to make sense.
I am open to ideas for input for this. I feel it's much better than just "Acceptable" and "DFS", but I'm sure it could use some work. There will probable be some changes made over time.
Rating systems are so very subjective. As long as you have a system and can stick with it you are good. Also just put it into a spreadsheet or similar so you can do some good ol' statistical analysis on the data once you have some entries. 👍
