Picked this up for $10. This scales are in great shape, pins nice and tight, no slop. Not so much pitting as some sort of staining. And even I can tell that the edge looks like a roller coaster. Looks like somebody took sandpaper to it. Must of been some nasty stuff on there.

I've been researching the "Cutlers to their Majesties" which I know now means Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. What time frame were they referred to as "their Majesties"? From the time they were married in 1840 till Queen Victoria died in 1901?
