Cooker on the Weber Summit, used the Kona grill mats on the asparagus, drizzled with EVO, salt and pepper, Parmisan cheese added off the grill.

Mexican bowl tonight with taquitos, rotisserie chicken from the grill, rotel tomatoes, avocado, Mexican blend of shredded cheese, home made salsa, cilantro and corn chips.

Some very nice meals here. I was going to enter but the weather has not been on my side, rain, rain and more rain.

Sous vide strip steaks, baked potatoes, mushrooms, and poached artichokes.

But, who needs sides when you got this:

Rain you say? I cooked my rotisserie chicken on the grill in a deluge of water from the sky. 1.5 inches in 2 hours. My trusty umbrella with holes in it did the job. Slacker.

You're a hard task master, Aaron.
Slacker? I'm broken.

Last of the meat burnin' for the cookout. Thought I'd do some K-bobs...cut up ribeye, onions, bell pepper and some new 'taters.

I think we're done.

Served with some corn on the cob (that SWMBO cut up in to tiny pieces) and some homegrown tomatoes from a lady in town.

Fridays are Fishtastic!
So I was finally able to join the cookout. Was a combination July 4th and (my) birthday cookout. I made bacon-wrapped smoked jalapeno popper bites, Ribeye steaks, baked potatoes in the smoker and grilled Romaine salad. It was completely delicious. Sadly, I completely forgot to take photos of the whole spread, so I'll have to make do with these:

I always liked the way you did your poppers so that's how I do them, for the most part. Ah, and I see plenty of room in the backyard for a garden. :001_smile

Thanks for showing up Jim.

Let's start where we left off two years ago. Some of you are still hold-up in the Casa so it might be the right time for this. I've got BBQ, beans, tater salad and maybe some watermelon on the list for this Saturday.

Show us what you're cookin' for the 4th. We'll include July 1st for Canada day.

Have fun and fire off a bottle rocket.

Chili dogs, Bush's baked beans, Fritos, homemade ice cream and an ice cold watermelon is our tradition.

For years we did a big fish fry but our posse is much smaller now.
