I have a couple of stones that just aren't my thing, so I'd like to send them along.
I have a Kiita Koppa for sale with tomonagura that I picked up from Alex Gilmore at TheJapanStone a while back. It is a fast little stone and very fine although not the hardest around.
$100 includes CONUS shipping.
Here is what Alex said about this stone:
"#716 Kiita Koppa
A small but powerful kiita stone, it will easily hone a razor
to shave ready in just a couple of minutes. Not hard but it
is very fine and came from one of the shallower tomae strata.
Hardness and grit particle size are two independent
factors in stones.
This stone came from the Air Raid Shelter and it has a portion
of kawa on one side while the other 3 sides have hand
saw marks.
The stone (toishi) has been lapped flat and the
corners and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my
stones come with a tested and appropriately sized tomonaguara
slurry stone."
Hardness 8++
Particle Size 9+++
Speed/Cutting 8+ to 9+++(with slurry)
Size 103-70-10mm
I also have an escher/thuri that I recently picked up from SliceOfLife. It is 1.5"x7" and has some trace amounts of label on both ends.
$120 includes CONUS shipping.
