Jim Rouse of Franklin-Christoph Passes Away

In my latest Nib Noise from Richard Binder, I read that Jim Rouse of Franklin-Christoph has passed away. According to Richard, he died suddenly at the conclusion of the Miami Pen Show. I've met him at several pen shows, and he was always friendly and helpful--he really seemed to love his work. Rest in peace.

This was very sad news to hear I have never met him personally but the way that others have spoken about him it seems like he touched many peoples lives. May he Rest in Peace.

I got out my old Franklin & Christoph B&B Essential last night, and inked it up with my surviving bottle of 3 O'Clock Shadow. Seems like the best way to thank a craftsman is to use his work.

Sad to read this news this morning. Jim fitted my FC Model 66 with one of his SIG nibs at last years Colorado Pen Show. He was a nice guy and a real craftsman.
