Jeness Razor

A while back Jeness posted a razor he made, a couple of PMs and he sent me the razor to try out.

The scales are great, very nice fit and finish.

The blade itself is about 8/8 with a mirror tang and almost mirror blade. The blade is about 2 3/4-which is about the perfect size for my tastes. Almost full wedge with a slight hollow.

The steel is very hard, took a fantastic edge, had a great smooth shave. The balance of the blade is excellent. Love the makers mark on the tang.

My only criticism is would have like jimps-but that is a very personal thing.

I was fortunate enough to see this razor first hand also and agree its a fine piece. I'd be proud to own one of Jeness' razors. Clean, well designed and constructed.

Looks great! What was the progression on that hone up?

Set the bevel on Botan slurry, progressed though Tenjou, Mejiro, Koma and finished on the Nakayama Suita

It's looks great, but how does it shave?
