Razor: Gamechanger 68
Blade: Wilkinson sword(2)
Soap: La Toja
Brush: RR Snowman
Pre: non
Post: Old Spice

An unusual Friday morning shave, little less tired so went for it. Repeated yesterday but paid much more attention to lathering the La Toja. Added probably twice the amount of water...much better! Seems to be a thirsty soap.
Only did 2 passes, but the second was a little more against the grain then my normal all across the grain.

DFS with very little aftershave feedback...maybe 3 or 4 out of 10. Very happy with the results, very unusual for me to shave this many days in a row!
Really liking this brush, nice firm bristles. Would be perfect in the Bruce handle.

Be well

Razor: Gamechanger 68
Blade: Wilkinson sword(3)
Soap: Sheep
Brush: RR Snowman
Pre: non
Post: XXX

Sunday morning shave, 2 days growth.
Gamechanger and the Sheep took it down to DFS+++ in 2.5 passes.
Shave was pre shower felt smooth but had a touch more feedback, will lather an extra minute or two next time.
Blade is holding up well.
Have decided to stick with the Sheep for a while so loaded a tablespoon or 2 into my Old Spice mug

Razor: Gamechanger 68
Blade: Wilkinson sword(4)
Soap: Sheep
Brush: RR Snowman
Pre: non
Post: Clubman

Tried something different with my lather today. Soaked my brush and only gave it 1 flick to remove water. Worked very well, didn't have to add any water on my face.
The Wilkinson Sword is impressing me, decent blade. Nice to know I can get a usable blade locally in a pinch.

2.5 passes for DFS++

Razor: Gamechanger 68
Blade: Derby Premium (1)
Soap: Arko
Brush: Mixed Midget
Pre: non
Post: Mudder Focker

Changed my mind this morning and pulled out a stick of Arko. Cut it into 4 equal parts and pressed 1 into a tin.
Then decided to throw a new Derby Premium into the Gamechanger.
What a fantastic shave, smooth and undramatic!

Razor: Gamechanger 68
Blade: Derby Extra (1)
Soap: Arko
Brush: Razorock Bruce
Pre: Shower
Post: Clubman

Arko again today, revisited Derby Extra. Shave was nice, smoother then I recall from last use, they dont stand up to the Premiums tho!!
Couple weepers but all in all not bad.
Arko and Clubman make a fantastic pairing.

3 passes, DFS+

Razor: Gamechanger 68
Blade: Derby Extra (2)
Soap: Arko
Brush: Razorock Bruce

A repeat of yesterday, blade seemed much smoother, interesting. Guess I will keep going and see where it ends.

Kept it to 2 passes: DFS
Good enough for my pillow.

Razor: 48 SuperSpeed
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (2)
Soap: Arko
Brush: Razorock Bruce
Pre: Shower
Post: Clubman

Switched the Wilkinson from the Tech to the SuperSpeed. Wet brush onto Arko, 3 smooth passes, closed out with Clubman. Kept the razor at a nice neutral angle...equal guard vs cap. Result

A fantastic DFS+++ almost too close! Got a nice little jolt from the aftershave.

Be well

Razor: K1 Slim
Blade: Derby Premium (1)
Soap: XXX
Brush: Razorock Snowman

Getting back to a weekly fixed four.

1st pass on 4: horizontal on cheeks and down on mustache, chin, and neck.
2nd pass on 3: repeat pattern.
3rd pass on 2: upward on neck, downward on cheeks, and horizontal on mustache and chin
4th pass on 1:up on neck and cheeks, horizontal on mustache, and chin.

Shave was going so well I opted for a full 4th pass rather then just a touch-up. 30 minutes later I am not regretting my decision!
DFS +++ no irritation at all!

Skipped shaving Sunday, spent the day looking busy around the yard instead.

3 passes on #3 with a tiny bit of touch-up on #2.
DFS+++ with 1 tiny weeper on my adamsapple. 1 quick dab of alum cleared it right up

Razor: Aluminum Overlander
Blade: Nacet (1)
Soap: XXX
Brush: Razorock Snowman
Pre: Shower
Post: XXX

New razor arrived lastnight. Loaded it with a fresh Nacet.
Followed my same pattern and damn what a shave! Smooth and efficient,
I would put it close to the aluminum lupo for closeness and close to Henson mild for feel. I see what the praise is all about.

Initial impressions say it was worth the money.
3 passes no touch up or buffing left me at DFS+++, dang near BBS

Second shave with the Overlander. Smooth smooth smooth. Just enough feedback to know its cutting, very nice weight and balance.
Handle has good grip without being rough.
Really a great shaver!

3 passes DFS+++, again as close to BBS as I usually get.

Razor: Aluminum Overlander
Blade: Nacet (4)
Soap: Stirling Sheep
Brush: Omega Mixed Midget

Switching the soap for this week. Keeping razor and blade the same. Will switch brushes as the whim takes me.

Todays shave was fantastic, smooth, gentle and efficient.
DFS++ no buffing or cleanup.

Great shave streak you have going Jay!

I haven't tried an Overlander before, so I'm really enjoying reading about it from your journal. I definitely think the Gamechanger 68 is great for mild shaves when my face needs a bit of a break and the shave doesn't have to be too close. It seems like your experience with it may be similar to my own.

Look forward to reading more!

I just recently got the Overlander. I love it, it is such a smooth gentle shave. Plenty efficient enough for me.

Using the Overlander is making for a boring journal entry, another smooth almost mindless shave. Have not had a weeper or irritation since getting it.

Hey Jay,

I'm really happy to read how well the Overlander continues to work for you! When I first got a Tatara Muramasa last November, I think I used it for at least 3 months straight without using any other razor. It's great to find something that works so well.

I look forward to reading more!

Best,
Brian
