What taste or flavor profile are you looking for? Is it the green tea taste, the jasmine, or something else? There are many nice green teas out there. In general, while the tea from Wegman's may have been good, there are most likely sources for much better tea of the same variety (oh yeah, I just happen to know someone ). One issue is that there is no guarantee about the age of the tea and in fact the green tea that is sold to grocery stores is generally not the highest quality. Jasmine pearls and other green teas for that matter (to get the best flavor) should be no older than one year.
To be honest: I'm a newbie and I don't know. Wegmans has a 'tea bar' in their organic section (2 cozy leather chairs, a sink / microwave, and about 20 different teas in big metal containers that look a bit like hat boxes)...I really have no definite preference for tea leaf, but I do like the more flavorful -not butt kicking- tastes. Caffeine isn't a bad thing either, IMO. Herbal and floral tastes seem pretty cool to me; perhaps I'd be a medium/full flavor kinda guy?
