JAS-eTea.com feedback

Hi everyone -

It has been a while since some of the members encouraged me to establish an online tea store. My wife and I run our small enterprise in our spare time after we get home from our regular jobs but we try to give the best possible service given the constraints of our available time.

What I would like to do is to encourage all of our customers to provide us some feedback. You may do it in the thread, in a PM or in a direct email: [email protected].

- How is our selection? Are there things that you think that we ought to carry more or less of in the inventory. We have intentionally been carrying some of the higher-end green teas and oolong teas. Do we need to carry more moderately priced everyday teas?

- How are our prices? Did you know that we will beat the price of any other US vendor for an equivalent item?

- How is the organization of the site?

- How is our customer service?

The above questions are some suggested areas for feedback. Please feel free to provide feedback on anything else that comes to mind.

Thanks in advance for your help in improving www.JAS-eTea.com.

Best regards,
Steve

The site's very easy to navigate, find what I want, and order. I also like the long descriptions and brewing instructions for many/most of the teas. I often go back and check before selecting and making some tea. Ordering through the website, the whole process has been very smooth and quick.

I appreciate the higher end oolongs, and probably wouldn't bother with less expensive ones. In general I find myself ignoring the lesser teas and getting more of the good ones. But that's just me. My "everyday" teas are assams, which are typically cheaper anyway. (Or more usually, coffee.)

One thing I'd like to see is some kind of round the year seasonal attention. While Taiwan has a long season, this would mean going to India, Sri Lanka, and Africa or Argentina from October through March or April. But to be honest, I think it's better to focus than to spread out. This way I know I can go to you for some good oolongs or puerh and have a nice selection.

Thanks for the feedback, Steve.
Regarding infusion times and techniques: While I do include them with some of the tea descriptions, if you are ever in need of a suggestion, check out the educational information at the top of the homepage in the drop-down menus. While this information should just be considered as a starting point for the enthusiast, I think that the suggested starting point will give you a good cuppa tea.

I've almost ordered from Jas-eteas rather than YS two times. Both times I did not order because I found out that one of the items I really wanted was sold out. Also, back when I was in more of a generous mood towards buying samples, I felt that the prices for samples were prohibitively expensive. The XZH Yuanshilin sample was $17, which was more than what Purepuer charges for a sample of $278 bings. I've since gone on a policy of being more gamble with a bing rather than a sample.

I'm not mad about any of this stuff, and none of this is really any more than noise. About the only thing I could say that might be helpful is that some of the low priced items that sell well, you should try more to keep in stock, because they help sell other stuff. I do think you know that already, so...

Thanks for the feedback on the XZH; that does appear a bit excessive for the pricing. Let me take a look at that one. Samples are a bit more expensive simply because of the time and effort required to create the samples but having said that, I will examine the pricing on the XZH in particular.

I appreciate the comment about the teas that "sell well." As a general question to everyone, "What are some of the teas that you tried to buy on the site only to find that I was out of stock? What would you consider the key pu-erh teas that always need to be in stock?"

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

I missed 2008 Yong Pin Hao.

Not sure why I had those XZH samples priced quite so high. Must have been an oversight -- read: outright mistake in my calculations. Prices have been adjusted. Thanks for pointing that out!

I just placed my first order at Jas-e. The site is very nice, lots of information and looks very professional and classy. It was easy for me to navigate to the specific things I wanted to look at.

The only suggestion I might make is that there were 1 or 2 teas I looked at which I could not easily tell the size/weight (grams) of the portion. This could be due to an oversight on my part.

Also, I wanted to include a metal filter for my pitcher in the order. I thought this would be a fairly common item, but I could not find metal ones on the site.

netsurfr has been helpful to me and the site looks great. Prices seem good in relation to another site I looked at. I will definitely order again.

Thanks.

Metal filter will be included with your gaiwan. I have not been selling the metal ones but I usually include them with gaiwan or Yixing orders.

If you can remember which teas it was difficult to determine the size/weight, it would be a great help. I have amassed quite an inventory and I could use any help with indicating problems of the type you mention.

love the site the only problem i have ocasionaly is the "this canot be shiped to that adress " issue with int shipping. but usualy subsituteing or ading something difrent clears that up. or i jut email you.

its a good site my main source for puerh and oolong.

Yeah, I am still having that pesky problem with the mailing portion of the site. Thanks for your patience.
