Had to wash off the tabac AS soon after the shave as my wife found it detestable. Have to say I agree with her. Oddly, we both like the scent of the soap, which is pretty close to the AS. I guess the scent is just overpowering in the AS.

First time using The Real Shaving Co. cream, purchased on sale for $3.99 last week. Got a near-BBS shave, yet comfortable, with minimal irritation. Scent is nice too.

Result: I have been experimenting with canned goo for 10 minutes as a pre-shave, and am finished with my experiments. It does seem to work decently, but is so nasty on my skin, that it is just not worth using as a pre-shave, and the results are little better than a minute with a hot towel (which actually feels good). I did get a very good shave, but I attribute that to a fresh astra blade in my progress and Poraso's bullet proof lather. How is it Japanese themed? I figure that enduring 10 minutes of canned goo on your face s the stuff of Japanese game shows, so there's that. ;>
