Still in and feeling much better today, I think I beat this bug!

First time using this Atmotic set I got as a present years ago and I really like this scent.

Razor: Schick Type E-3 Injector
Blade: Schick Injector blade (12)
Soap: PAA Atmotic
Brush: VDH Boar
AS: PAA Atmotic splash

It is not my intention to offend anyone with the following question but, why is it too cold to shave? We have been in the negative temps here but, I find that my beard grows thicker/quicker in the winter temps than it does in the summer temps. Just curious if anyone else experiences this?
No offense taken. We had -4° with a wind coming off the lake 3 straight days this past week. Dries out my face and feels crappy. No reason to shave when all I need to do is work outside on my firewood stacks, and walk my new dog.
And....I've become a cranky, lazy old man, I guess.

That I understand all too well. I spent the last few days at our lake house on Lake Erie and it’s frigid for sure. Plus, I get better, more satisfying shaves with a couple of days growth. Stay warm!

Still in on Day #25, but very remiss in posting.

I got some blades from the GBE, and finally got to try out Perma-sharps.

So far, I'm getting close shaves, but these blades seem a lot less forgiving than my Nacets. I need to use the blade a few more times and maybe see how a second blade fares, but right now I'm finding them rough on my chin and jawline, no matter the soap I use. Likely operator error.

I hope everyone makes it down the home-stretch now!

Day 25, 80.6% complete

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Lather: Saponificio Varesino Opuntia
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #5
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Proraso Sensitive Balm

I used Opuntia for SV Saturday, and got the usual easy near-BBS.

The scent and texture of Proraso balm are a bit strange, but once things have settled down, it's very good — smooth yet non-greasy.
