Antique shop hunting this weekend paid off ($120 for all four).
1921 Silver Bostonian, handle is not cracked
1926 Silver Chesterfield, small 1/4 inch split
1918 old type ball end
1966 travel tech, gold case

And my first Canada pre war Tech was in the mail box when we got home.

Both Silvers cleaned up nicely with a little boiling water/backing soda and some never dull.

I'm making an effort to do more trading this year (rather than buying), so far I've put together 2 swaps which I'm pretty happy about. Was able to pick up a Grooming Dept soap in one of the bases I hadn't yet tried, and Stirling Piacenza AS/EDT. Looking forward to trying them all!

Just got an Ikon B1 OSS head. My long time favorite razor is the Ikon 101. I recently got the OSS handle with x3 slant head and it looks awesome but haven't shaved with it yet. Wanted to get this stainless steel head also, hope I like it. I really like Ikon products. Has anyone tried the SBS head? The big blocky aluminum one?

I received a new package Friday of some shaving goodies. I needed to order a new Cube, and decided to try the Ice flavor with the new V2 formula just for something different. We also bought a new Christmas tree this year and I decided to get some shaving related ornaments because I guess I'm a shaving nut lol, before they go away for the season. I've also been wanting to try the PAA Green Ray Brush with the Hybrid Tribble Synth Knot, but noticed the starter kit to be the best value to fill up the cart. For the price, it is quite the nice package, gives me the chance to try CaD, and tosses in the Symmetry razor with some blades at a low price, especially with the loyalty discount used. I really didn't need another razor, but I must say it looks really well made, especially for the price. The plating is flawless, and the handle has some really nice knurling. I was impressed. The head looks fairly standard and I think it will shave as good if not better than the Gillette Heritage I received for Christmas. The kit comes in a nice package and would be a great gift for someone interested in trying wet shaving. I also like the smaller soap because I already have too many and it is a nice size to try a scent I don't have, especially in CK6. I wish they would allow more customization - ie pick the brush, soap, razor, but for the price it is hard to beat. The only thing I would have changed would have probably been the razor. I would have liked to have tried the Prismatic from the PAA line up, but the Symmetry is probably a more mainstream design for a beginner and a good choice as a standard offering.

I was not happy with the 2019 ornament because it was printed way off center and let PAA know about it earlier today. They have always corrected any issues promptly and have always provided outstanding customer service so I'm not worried about it. I expect they will replace the defective item.

Yesterday I found this at an antique store. Not a GREAT price but not an eBay price. Then today out on a day trip with my wife I found this stones little sibling. Two in twenty four hours, so thankful.

The SBS head doesn't seem to get much coverage on here for some reason, but I own it and absolutely love it. It's a beast of a head for sure and takes a bit of getting used to, but once mastered it gives me as close a shave as any razor I've tried, with no nicks or irritation. I'm a big ikon fan too (also own the X3) and just love the quality of their stuff.

Nice. I picked up the sbs head but haven't tried it yet.

So this is a pic heavy post, this is a Christmas haul combined with December and January Scores.

Here are the samples that came in over the last month.

Here are some blades and misc items from the last month or so, I was surprised to find out that there are still retailers on Amazon that sell vintage blades, I was able to pick up the Personna 74/15 pack for around $30 shipped.

Here are the injector purchases from the last 2 months. The Adjustable is a very clean version that I found on Etsy and the Grip is from eBay and equally clean.

The last picture contains big purchases from the past 2 months. The Rex Ambassador, Rockwell Model T, The Supply Co. Adjustable, The Vikings Blade Emperor "Meiji" edition, Parker Variant (Graphite) And the holy grail to me, The Gillette Super 109 R4- I have been trying to find this particular razor for a few years now as it is my birth year and quarter (November 1971).
