Jambalaya tips and info

Add more liquid, if you need to. It takes more than you think.
What type of rice did you use? They are not all the same.

Just plan Walmart long grain..
As TexLaw said, increase the liquid to rice ratio.
For one cup of rice try 2.25 cups of water and .75 cup of tomato or spicy V8 juice.

That may work well for rice, but that's not what you want to do for jambalaya. For jambalaya, you cook the rice in the pot with everything else, not separately.
Very true. Proper Jambalaya calls for uncooked rice which ideally comes out a tad crunchy....so say my Louisiana friends.
