That may work well for rice, but that's not what you want to do for jambalaya. For jambalaya, you cook the rice in the pot with everything else, not separately.
Very true. Proper Jambalaya calls for uncooked rice which ideally comes out a tad crunchy....so say my Louisiana friends.
I have seen recipes that stipulate otherwise but I don’t do mine with anything other than uncooked long grain white rice.
