Jack Black Pure Clean

I've been using Jack Black Pure Clean Face Wash but being used to natural soaps or Glycerin soaps I'm on the fence with this. It leaves my face feeling very tight and I really don't care for that feeling. Is anyone familiar with this product? Is that normal? I am assuming it is because it supposedly tones also and that this is the "toning." But I don't like the feeling. I get a slight tingling sometimes also. I may have to stick with my glycerin soaps.

I also had poor success with the Jack Black Pure Clean. It didn't leave my face "tight", but it left it feeling less than clean. It just didn't leave me feeling as though my combo skin had been thoroughly cleansed. But then again, I've never been a big fan of JB products other than the Turbo Wash, which is decent. Check out Kyoku's Daily Face Wash if you get a chance. I just got my order earlier this week and really like it. There's no dryness after use to speak of, and it leaves me clean without feeling stripped or whatnot. I also got their Oil Control Lotion, but that appears to not be for me as it did cause me to get rather oily shortly after cleansing. I now use the Kyoku Face Wash and CeraVe's PM Facial Moisturizer twice daily. It appears to be working well so far, but it's simply too early to tell if I'll stick with it long-term. But so far, so good.

I thought JB Pure Clean was just ok. If anything it seemed a bit too mild for me, but I do have really oily skin.

I don't have any skin issues, oil or dry etc. I just started using face wash products a couple of months ago to try and get away from a lot of unknown ingredients or stuff that dries the skin.
I may just stick with the glycerin soap. I've been using "Clearly Natural" Glycerin soaps and I like it. I typically get unscented.

Thanks

face tight? probably drying skin and tightening pores. remember, you have to follow with a quality moisturizer. I use cetaphil, recommended by many doctors. or nivea or neutrogena if on a budget. All great qualty products. For higher end products I only buy moisturizers. Jack Black's daily moisturizer has done wonders for me over many comparable (lab series, anthony logistics, kiehls, mens science- very good)

Interesting. Funny thing is that in all my years of using regular soap I never had a problem with my skin. A few years ago I decided that as I got older things change and I'd be better to be proactive rather than wait for a problem. So I switched to better soaps. Natural, Olive oil, coconut, glycerin and the like. For the sake of this discussion I will refer to them as "regular" soap also. Bar soap. Again, no skin problems. I generally don't have any skin problems. never had pimples, dry or oily skin. Nothing to speak of, Just skin!

So I switch to a supposedly "better than bar soap" product and my face now requires moisturizer? How is that better? :001_smile

My face went back to feeling normal after I went back to regular soap. Clearly Natural Glycerin. All is well again.

Thanks :001_smile
